The West African Examinations Council, WAEC, has appointed Dr. Amos Josiah Dangut as the new Head of its Nigeria National Office. Dangut’s appointment came after the expiration of Patrick Areghan’s tenure. The Registrar and Chief Executive of the National Examination Council, NECO, Prof. Dantani Wushishi has said results of candidates from debtor states may, henceforth, be withheld until the governments of the affected states defray the money owed. Overall amount of money owed NECO by the affected states is put at N5.5 billion.
