The government of Tanzania, the African Development Bank (AfDB), and the French Development Agency (AFD) have signed agreements for two development project loans worth $300 million. The funds will finance the construction of the 87.8-megawatt Kakono Hydropower Plant located in Kagera region in the northern part of Tanzania. The Nigeria National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPCL, is deepening investments in the Ajaokuta-Abuja-Kano (AKK) gas pipeline and OB3 gas interconnector to support five billion standard cubic feet per day domestic gas utilisation. Japanese car maker Toyota is moving ahead to roll out next-generation Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) globally, it said on Tuesday, June 13, 2023.
