The cholera outbreak is characterised by a case fatality rate of 3.5 per cent, significantly higher than the national expected average of one per cent, underscoring severity of the situation. The Anambra State Government says it has successfully converted 6,380 poles of streetlights from generator-powered to solar-powered model in the first phase of the switch.
