President Bola Tinubu is set to travel from London, United Kingdom, to New York, United States, to attend the United Nations General Assembly on September 22 and 23, where global leaders will discuss issues including global peace.
President Tinubu has been abroad since August 29, initially traveling from Abuja to China. During his visit to China, he met with President Xi Jinping and signed multiple agreements focused on economic growth, infrastructure, and other developmental partnerships.
Following his engagements in China, President Tinubu proceeded to the UK on September 6, where he has remained since. Before departing China, he addressed the Nigerian community, assuring them that his administration is committed to delivering good governance and aims to replicate China’s extensive development achievements for the benefit of Nigerians.
He acknowledged the current economic hardships faced by Nigerians, emphasizing that these challenges are necessary sacrifices to enable the government to improve infrastructure, such as roads, electricity, and education, for the nation’s citizens.
Reflecting on his official visit to China, President Tinubu described the trip as very good and successful.
